TOMS + London College of Fashion: Meet Yael Lapiner

Following an exciting TOMS competition with students at London College of Fashion (LCF), we’re stoked to introduce the brilliantly talented Yael Lapiner and Luke Craggs, winners of the opportunity to produce two unique window installations in our first UK pop-up shop.
Yael’s creation is up first. Her art found a home in the windows of the little blue shop at 69 Neal Street, Covent Garden just yesterday, and will be there in all its glory until June 13th.

So, who is Yael Lapiner exactly, and how did she get to installing this radical piece of excellence in our store window? So happy you asked…
Yael is a true creative visionary, with a background in advertising and fashion design. She grew up in South Africa, where she developed a passion for pro-social fashion and a drive to use her creativity to have a positive impact on the world around her. Fast forward to present, and Yael’s studying for her BA in Creative Direction for Fashion at the London College of Fashion, where she got wind of this contest through a Creative Direction for Fashion course at school.
When we called Yael to let her know her design would take over our store window, she was over the moon with excitement. She’s pumped to join the TOMS community, and we are thrilled to have her on board for this project and to get to know her better when we fly her out to LA later this year to learn more about TOMS and why we do what we do.
TOMS fans in London - go check out the window display she designed at the TOMS pop-up shop: 69 Neal Street in Seven Dials, Covent Garden. More events and updates to come; stay up-to-date by checking back at the Facebook event listing for the in-store summer happenings…
