TOMS X Linus
If you’ve never been to Los Angeles, you might have the perception that our roads and highways are congested with honking horns and bumper to bumper traffic, road rage and parking tickets. Well, we guess your perception is accurate.
But there’s also a surprising different side to LA. From fixies in Silverlake to beach cruisers on the Venice boardwalk, the biking culture is alive and well in the city of Angels. CicLAvia grows leaps and bounds each year, more bike lanes are opening up on our streets, and I think a few people participate in the annual Bike to Work day.
TOMS employees definitely take advantage of the bike-to-work option. We’ve had to increase our bike rack storage a few times, and one year we received beautiful Linus bikes as our Holiday gift. It’s not a rare sight to see a group of young people, with matching alpargata shoes, stripes on their sunglasses, and matching “Linus for TOMS” bikes on the commute to our west LA headquarters.
Thankfully, the natural progression of the Linus and TOMS relationship was an official partnership with the Venice-based bike makers. Now we can all be outfitted in a slick pair of TOMS x Linus Cordones, complete with reflective heel patches and a pretty cool Twill upper.
