BYE & THANKS! – From the Summer ’12 Interns
The time has come, ladies and gentlemen, for our TOMS internship to come to a close. As we disperse in all different directions, I know we’ll take our memories from the summer – a fun, inspiring one, full of hard work and good times – with us.
Being an intern at TOMS is much more than fetching lattes and filing papers. Since we started here, we’ve been exposed to real interesting and meaningful work, which has shaped a unique experience for all of us.
As for me, I will walk away with experience that is unlike anything that preceded it. I’m from Memphis and go to school in Arkansas. Moving across the country, meeting a completely new group of people, and working in a realm that I never had before has tried me and made me a more flexible person, able to jump funny hurdles as they spring up…all in just 10 weeks in Southern California. But I knew I wasn’t alone in my learnings here, as each of us has a unique tale to tell, so I asked some of my fellow interns to share some things they learned during our time at TOMS HQ…We’ll start with Nick, as he has a magical way with words:
