TOMS Eyewear, Personified - Meet Marisol
There’s a new kid in town…well, a few of them actually… and we call them by names but they’re actually sunglasses. We’re talking about the Fall styles of TOMS Eyewear, which bring new flavor and personality to our collection.
Behind each pair of TOMS Eyewear live lots of characters, each unique, so we thought we’d let the TOMS family take the reigns and tell us about a character - based on their own personal style and taste - that goes for their favorite pair of TOMS Eyewear. Here’s our go at living out the life of Marisol, one of those new kids in town/a frame new to the TOMS Eyewear collection, through Jasmine, on the TOMS Facilities team.
TOMS: Your style, in 5 words.
Jasmine: Bohemian, unique, chic, flowy, vintage-inspired
TOMS: Style inspiration?
Jasmine: “I get dressed based on what I’m feeling in the morning…or the night before that.” [She laughs, embarrassed.] “Sometimes i plan my outfits at night, a day in advance, depending where I’m going.”
TOMS: You have a history with loving fashion, right?
Jasmine: “I like fashion - clothes and accessories - so much! Growing up, my grandma would sew clothes for me, and since I was the only child for so many years, I had a built-in audience to do fashion shows for. I would model the clothes she made me for my grandma, grandpa, mom and dad. I’d style dresses in different looks. If Marisol were a person, she would do that too, I think!”
TOMS: Too good, and maybe! What was your go-to runway move?
Jasmine: Hands behind head. [No thought required.]
TOMS: What is it about the Marisol frames that you like the best?
Jasmine: “They feel very vintage, and take me back to the 70’s, my favorite era for bold fashion moves. I think the girl who goes for these likes finding treasures at flea markets and going to museums, looking through old photos and can appreciate more than what’s trendy now, choosing pieces that are edgy but still classically cool.”
