TOMS Eyewear's One for One = more than you think
We often share the transformative moments: when someone sees his/her grandchildren for the first time in years after a sight-‐restoring surgery, or when the chalkboard in a classroom is suddenly clear with a new pair of glasses. Giving Trips from a Bird’s-Eye View

Here at HQ, Christina is on the Brand Experience team, and we have an inkling her job is pretty unique to TOMS. She coordinates the Giving Trips, those week-long opportunities to visit areas where we give TOMS Shoes as volunteers and on-the-ground guests for our Giving Partners.
On Giving Trips, made possible in part by Christina’s planning, TOMS employees or contest winners get to gain a deeper understanding of how TOMS Shoes are integrated into our Giving Partners’ existing programming for children’s health and education.
On a recent Giving Trip to Peru, Christina had a go with the group camera and enjoyed what she told us was like a bird’s-eye view of the experience. She shared her thoughts…
“When I had the opportunity to photograph that Giving Trip, I loved watching my friends and colleagues form bonds with the children who were benefiting from our work, and with the Partners who make that link for us.”
Below, see some of Christina’s favorite moments captured during her photographer stint on a Giving Trip with TOMS Giving Partner Coprodeli in Peru:

“I try to get pictures from unique angles and of those spontaneous, candid moments; I want to get that on film in the most natural way.”
But Giving Trips are a privilege we enjoy when our Giving Partners invite the extra set of hands and hearts to the shoe distributions in the areas they server. The trips provide some incredible and moving moments all around, but they’re only a part of how we give. Learn more about our One for One Giving programs at http://blog.toms.com/tagged/giving
