12 Days of Giving: Day 1

This holiday season, sisters and artists Maricor and Maricar Manalo have created for us a cheerful piece of art with a simple but powerful message: Give.

These kicks are limited edition, and the first of a special collection of TOMS Shoes, Eyewear & Accessories that we’re unwrapping piece-by-piece from now until December 14^th.

Make every step a generous one

You may recognize half of this kindhearted pair, Australian artist Maricor Manalo, who made the trip to Peru and Guatemala with us, which we chronicled this past Fall. She volunteered alongside the TOMS team with Giving Partner Buckner International; she designed and worked with children in Peru to paint a mural that read “Hope shines here;” she observed as the staff at Visualiza Eye Care Center in Guatemala gave sight to patients whose services are available, in part, because of TOMS Eyewear purchases.

Of her experience on the Giving trip, Maricor said, “I knew the experience…would be special, but I didn’t except it to be so personally rewarding.”

And now, with her equally talented sister, Maricar, Maricor is illustrating this limited edition with unlimited potential.
