They call themselves “Makers of Things assorted;” we call them amazing. Over the course of the last year, Australian artists (and twins) Maricor and Maricar Manalo have woven their story into the greater TOMS narrative, most recently with the this month’s 12 Days of Giving campaign.

Here are just some of the reasons we’re stoked to share the movement with them…

+ With simple watercolor paintings exclusive to our Social Media channels, these two illustrated a TOMS world our most recent campaign, TOMS 12 Days of Giving. We’re always bring to bring something special to you guys here on the TOMS Blog, on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, what have you, and these artists created the perfect opportunity to do so.

Maricor and Maricar helped us develop a limited edition collection by providing our Design team with a print you’ll find on TOMS Shoes for men, for women, and for kids. Then, they took a good look at the full 12 Days product line and painted portraits of each item so we’re could use their illustrations to introduce the Shoes, Eyewear and Accessories, piece-by-piece to you each day for the last 12.

+ The two Aussie ladies infused their eclectic style into the official TOMS launch in Australia last month. They created a live mural at the Sydney launch party, and they helped us bring One for One to the community they call home.

+ They believe in and have lent to the pulse of TOMS. Earlier this year, Maricor came along on a TOMS Giving trip to Peru with Giving Partner Buckner International, an excursion we documented for our Fall catalog. Most memorably, she led a group of students and the TOMS team in painting a mural on a school wall to remind the children who received TOMS Shoes there that “Hope shines here.”

So, Maricor; Maricar: we thank you, and we hope you’ll continue to embroider your mark on the movement from here!
