Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic celebrates an appreciation for the beauty of imperfection.

It’s a blend of casual California and classic English heritage.  As a brand, SC’s known for its feminine floral fabrics, and this collaboration gave those textiles a new canvas: TOMS Shoes.

How did TOMS + Shabby Chic come to be?

A little more than year ago, the Shabby Chic team sent us a video that stole our hearts; in it, they mocked up a pair of TOMS with iconic Shabby Chic prints. Naturally, we loved their enthusiasm and we loved the look. And alas! Two new TOMS styles with an additional giving component were born.

Available in limited quantity, both these TOMS Classics and TOMS Strappy Wedges marry great design with casual ease. We paired the TOMS Classic alpargata style with one of the oldest (20+ years old!) prints in the Shabby Chic archive; and the Strappy Wedge found its match in a youthful print to match the shoe itself.

The SC team’s excited for their first foray outside the home furnishings world, and, we must admit, we too are tickled pink (floral print, that is)!

The additional give

Shabby Chic gives this world more than gorgeous home furnishings and subtle statement pieces; the Santa Monica-born-and-bred brand also supports Upward Bound House, a community-based social service agency. With three locations in the Los Angeles area, Upward Bound House focuses eliminating homelessness for families with children by providing housing, supportive services and advocacy.

In support of Upward Bound House and in addition to fulfilling our One for One promise, TOMS + Shabby Chic will provide proceeds of each sale of these limited-edition shoes to the cause.
