At TOMS, we take our commitment to giving shoes seriously. Our Giving Department works hard to send custom, made-to-order shoes to fit the needs of all of the diverse communities in which our Giving Partners work. We’ve learned that our Giving Partners put a significant amount of resources into distributing new TOMS Shoes to the children who need them most. And while some of these valued resourced are priceless — like relationships and trust within communities they serve — others can come with new, tangible expenses that make shoe distributions more difficult. Introducing: TOMS Roasting Co. Thankful Blend

Introducing the season’s signature roast – TOMS Thankful Blend. Smooth and lightly spiced, this blend is named after Thankful Day, a tradition that dates back to the beginning of TOMS. Profiles in One for One Safe Water

Name: Cristina Age: 15 years old Location: Santa Cruz del Quiche, Guatemala Type of water project: Gravity-fed water system with pump For 15-year-old Cristina, water has always been a precious commodity in her home. Since she was a little girl, her parents would purchase water for household use, and ration it out because it was a major expense for her family. At 5 Quetzales (the Guatemalan currency) per jug, her parents would often have to buy four or five jugs per day just to support their family of 11. “We use the water to cook, wash clothing and for personal…

Safe Water in Malawi

The natural dissipation of continuous, pure water disrupts more than just an everyday routine. In Malawi, when one village’s main river began to dry up, mothers and children were forced to spend hours every day searching for water and the entire community experienced a decline in safety, good hygiene and well-being. TOMS Roasting Co. partners with Water For People to provide sanitary water and education in the countries from where we source our beans. After working with Water For People, several villages in Malawi have the support they need for sustained access to safe water, and the tools and knowledge…

The Story Behind our Rwanda Roast

Known as “The Land of a Thousand Hills,” Rwanda’s high elevation allows for production of world- class coffees. Farms in the country tend to be smaller in size, allowing our Master Roaster to micro-source premium beans from specialty farmers. Last Fall, we journeyed to Shyara Mountain in Rwanda to see how a roast comes to life. Allow us to introduce you to some of the people behind the cup. It all starts with sourcing. All of our coffee beans are sourced through direct trade, which means that we work directly with the coffee growers. This way, the farmer sees the…
