Start Something That Matters - the One for One Give
In conjunction with the publication and sale of TOMS Founder/Chief Shoe Giver Blake Mycoskie’s first book, Start Something That Matters, a One for One give impacted the education and lives of children here in the U.S. In his book, he focused on the importance of thinking outside the ordinary to do good, in all kinds of ways, and shared the stories of entrepeneurs and do-gooders who are contributing to changing the world.
And so, with every purchase of Start Something That Matters, a new children’s book will be provided to a child in need. One for One.

I first met Blake Mycoskie in 2008 when I was working as a speaker’s agent. He told me the story behind TOMS and I was duly impressed. As he explained his “One for One” business model that harnessed consumer dollars to solve a health and education issue halfway around the world, I became understandably inspired. I can honestly say that hearing Blake’s story actually changed my life in a very profound way.
