Hey all!

My name is Gabi and I am a student at Florida International University. Earlier this summer, I hosted my very own TOMS Video Screening here in Miami. It was one of the best experiences in my life and I couldn’t be prouder to share the story with everyone in the TOMS Campus Programs Network.

I had so much support from my family, friends, and community while planning the event. The TOMS Campus Team was also a big help in providing ideas and resources. I was able to host the event in coalition with a very popular event in Miami that takes place on the last Friday of every month - Viernes Culturales. This ongoing event takes place in one of the most historical areas in all of Miami and is known to bring a great crowd of people interested in the arts.

College Football season kicks off this weekend! Who’s stoked? WE ARE.

At TOMS HQ , we’re a diverse group, from all over the country (and the world), and as the Fall season rolls in and Fantasy Football evenings wrap, we start to hear conversations rooted in rivalry in all corners of these walls.

This year, we pulled some of the folks on the TOMS Campus team at HQ  together, to predict the outcome of one of this weekend’s big games… through a ping pong tournament!

What does ping pong have to do with football? Nothing, really. But we have ping pong tables at HQ, and let’s be honest, we’re not college football experts, or mathematicians digging through stats. So, ping poing it was…

Matt (Alabama) and Kari (Michigan) stepped up to go head-to-head. Matt gave a lightning-fast first serve. Kari countered with a grunt and a clean hit back. Matt reached to the left. Three minutes later, the match had ended.

The verdict: Roll tide. Based on our calculations, ‘Bama’s taking home the win on Saturday against Michigan

…assuming , of course, that ping pong results hold true to results of NCAA football.

But hey, good luck to all of the teams this weekend. We just can’t wait to watch!

In the fall of my sophomore year of college I walked into a surf shop in Lawrence, Kansas (because, you know, we do a lot of surfing in the Midwest) and saw some sweet chukka boots on the shelf. Turns out they were some TOMS Botas. It was in this quaint surf shop in the middle of the Kansas plains that I then heard about the TOMS One for One movement. Since then I have been an avid supporter.

TOMS Campus Club at Northwood UniversityBy: Molly Anaman, Campus Club Leader at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan

To give a clear picture of what we’re working with, here in Midland, Michigan, it can sometimes feel as though we have an even ratio of squirrels to students on campus. Our majors are strictly business-focused, ranging from Automotive Marketing to Entrepreneurship to Fashion Marketing, and Management.
